Bio: Claire Littleton was born in Sydney Australian where she knew her father for three years before he stopped visiting from the U.S. to stay with his real family. Her mother, Carrol told her after he left that her father had died to hide the true of his real family in the states.
She worked for a tattoo parlor while living with her mother in her late teens and endulded in the new lifestyle of "Goth".
One day while having a heated argument with her mother, Claire's car crashed, and her mother flew through the windshield and landed on the street, putting her mother into a coma. Sher herself had to recieve stitches and broke her left arm.
After a troublesom meeting with her aunt Lyndsay over the cause of her mothers comatose condition, she met her father briefly. He heard of the accident and had to come. Claire demanded answers at first, then refused to listen to him.
Years later, Claire met Tomas and they began living together For reasons unknown, she left her job at the parlor and began working at a fast-food place called Fish-n-fry. One day she found out that she was pregnant and made the mistake of believing her boyfriend when he said that they would have the child and make it work.
When she was four months along, Tomas chose to leave her so he would have to deal with it. It was to "real" for him.
When she was seven months along, Claire's friend Sasha took her to a psycic, who refused to take her money or give her a reading. She showed up again a while later a recieved her reading. She was told that her child would never be happy with anyone but her.
She left his house that day only to be bothered sevel times later by him with pleas to keep her child and not ado[pt him away.
Ignoring him, Claire went along with her plan of adoption, but when it came time to sign the papers there was not one single pen that would wright for her, a sign.
She quickly visited the psycic again and he gaved her a ticked on flight 815 to LA where a family was waiting to adopt, or so she thought. She now believes the psycic knew everything that would happen.
Role-play example: Off the Island
Claire looked back at her son as Charlie began backing out of the drivway and turning towards the stadium where the fireworks show would be shown that particular night. She began to wonder exactly how Aaron would react, if he was scared just by camera flashes, how would he do around loud explosives? Then again, how would she do if he didn't do well around them? She was still getting used to being a mother, and it was difficult as it was to take care of him when he /wasn't/ crying his eyes out. Hopfully it would all play out fine, because she was looking forward to the show and didn't want to have to leave early.
They soon arrived that the stadium and parked the car then headed out onto the football field to the opposite end where the bleechers were where they could sit. Aaron was set down in his mothers lap and he looked up at Charlie as he sat down beside her. A silence followed, then aaron began babbling nonsence, reaching up to Charlie's neckless with a broad toothless smile.
Charlie looked away from Claire and down to the baby before grinning widly and picking him up into his arms. "What, you like this?"He asked when Aaron grabbed onto his neckless and began examening it as infants do. "Well maybe I'll give it to you some day little mate, how does that sound?"
Aaron ignored him, still looking the little DS trincet on the end, murmuring softly to himself as he did so. In his mind, this is what he was thinking:
Woooooow......What is this thing? It's all.....shiney... Hm... Wonder if I can put the whole thing in my mouth, I bet I could, I got half of my foot into my mouth one time, that could be easy. How come this guy wears it around his neck anyway? OH!!! Probably so he can get it in his mouth easier if it's already around his neck, Wow, smart guy.
The baby looked away from the neckless and up at Charlie, who looked over at Claire and smiled warmly.
Hm... He sure likes smiling at my mommy alot...
Claire smiled back softly, leaning over against him slightly.
And she likes smiling at him too...wonder if this guy likes mommy. Maybe. Hope mommy still likes me more...Yeah, everyone likes me more, They always say so. They say "Awe, Aaron, you're so cute, I love you." .......What's an Aaron anyways? I guess I'm an Aaron, but if I'm an /Aaron/, than what's a "baby"? Grownups are so weird, it's hard to tell what they talk about sometimes.... And they never- OH What's that?!
Aaron looked over as a white balloon began floating up from the bleechers and stares in awe, pointing slightly at it. After a moment he broke the trance and began babbling, gripping Charlie's shirt and pointing again.
Charlie blinked and looked down at Aaron before following his gaze to the balloon and grinning. "Yea, that's one neat ballon."He said, bouncing Aaron gently.
Claire looked up at them and smiled with a soft laugh. "Awe, do you like it Aaron? Maybe we should get you a balloon after this to take home. I think you'd like that."She leaned over and kissed her sons cheek lovingly. Aaron blinked and looked over at his mother, instantly reaching for her with a giggle.
Claire took the infant and set him down in her lap just as the first firework was set off and flew up into the sky. Aaron looked up in shock, not crying nore laughing, just sort of in shock and awe at the same time. A second one was set off and that broke the baby's trance. Much to his mothers delight be began laughing, clapping his hands happily. Claire grinned and hugged him, watching the fireworks explode one after another. Blue, White, Red, Purple, Green, all sorts of colors danced acrossthe sky in the time of an hour before the show was over.
People clapped, then stood, and began heading to the exit, wanting to beat the rush of traffic out of the parkinglot. But Claire and Charlie stayed behind and headed over to the giant group of balloons tied to the post next to the man selling them to buy one just for Aaron.
